Terms of Service
Basic license and legal terms for PayMeSafe escrow. Please read carefully.
1. About PayMeSafe
PayMeSafe is a non-custodial escrow coordination service that helps counterparties to structure payments, hold funds in a smart contract, and release funds when pre-defined conditions are met. We provide tooling, workflows, and dispute coordination; we do not provide financial, investment, or legal advice.
2. Eligibility & Accounts
- You must be legally capable to enter into contracts in your jurisdiction.
- Registration is required to create and manage deals. KYC/AML may be required for specific use-cases or jurisdictions.
- You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials and on-chain keys/wallets.
3. Escrow Mechanics
- Funds are locked in a smart contract and released only upon conditions specified in the deal. Either party may initiate a dispute if conditions are not met.
- Dispute coordination may involve moderation and evidence review; future DAO mechanisms may apply as communicated by us.
- Network (blockchain) fees are separate from service fees and borne by users.
4. Fees
Service fees are charged only on successful deals and disclosed on the Fees page. We may update fees from time to time with prior notice on our website.
5. Prohibited Use
You may not use PayMeSafe for illegal, fraudulent, or sanctioned activities; for items or services prohibited by law; or for activities that violate third-party rights. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access when violations are suspected.
6. Risk Disclosure
- Blockchain transactions are irreversible and subject to network conditions.
- Smart contracts may contain risks despite audits and testing.
- Market, regulatory, and technical changes may affect service availability.
7. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, PayMeSafe is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the service.
8. Disputes & Governing Law
In the event of a dispute, parties agree to cooperate and provide evidence in the product interface. Governing law and venue will be determined by our principal place of business, unless otherwise required by mandatory local law.
9. Changes
We may modify these Terms from time to time. The updated version becomes effective upon posting on our website. Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance.
10. Contact
